Description

So, I’ve been living in this 2017 Swift Escape 685 for the past few years, and after a bit of downsizing and rethinking how I want to travel, I’m finally letting it go. It’s been a real home away from home — especially for family trips or just chilling on the road.

The back lounge is huge, with a big table and loads of overhead storage. It’s bright thanks to those big side and roof windows — you get plenty of natural light, which is a real bonus when you're trying to relax. The sleeping setup’s solid: three double beds. One is converted from the rear lounge, another is an electric pull-down bed that can comfortably fit two adults and a small child (the dinette can also convert into a second double).

The kitchen is fully equipped — 3-burner gas hob, Thetford Triplex oven with grill (gas is stored in a refillable Gaslow system in the back), Dometic 3-way fridge freezer, sink with mixer tap, microwave, and tons of storage. I’ve never had to cook a meal without being able to find a spoon or a pan.

There’s a big central dinette area right in the middle, with a forward-facing L-shaped sofa and a side sofa with a 5th seat for travel. Above it is a big electric slide-down bed — plenty of room for two tall people, and the height’s adjustable via a control panel above the door.

Inside the cab, it’s a manual 6-speed gearbox with a Pioneer touchscreen that has Bluetooth, sat nav, and a reversing camera. Oh — the reversing camera is brand new, and I’ve already got the wiring in place. I just need to run the cable to the back and mount it. It’s all ready to go, so it’s not a big hassle. There’s also air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors.

Outside, there’s a wind-out awning so you can eat al fresco — I’ve used it loads of times for sunny afternoons.

I’ve got a few extras: 320W solar panel, Thule bike rack, Fiamma back box, Huawei Wi-Fi, and a Tracker S5 for security.

I’m happy to offer a free month of drive-away insurance — just call Caravan Guard to set it up. The V5 is with me, and everything else is in order.

It’s currently based in dulas, Moelfre, and I’m happy to arrange viewings or chat about it if you’re interested. I’ve used it for everything from family holidays to long-term camping — it’s been reliable, comfortable, and really versatile.

If you’re thinking of getting into motorhome life, this one’s been a solid companion — and I’m just happy to part with it.
