KEF R7 Floor Standing Speakers with Original Boxes

Description

Got my KEF R7 floor speakers and the original boxes — part of the R series, so they’re solid, well-built, and actually quite nice to listen to. The mesh grill guards are all original too, which is a plus.

They’re MDF and wood veneer, both speakers are fully working — I can see a small mark on one of them near the front panel, just off the driver, but it’s not visible from far away or at a glance. The finish is black gloss, which I’ve kept as is.

These are the full R7 set with the plinth, so you get both speaker units and their stands. Dimensions are 1062 x 200 x 383.5 mm (with stand), and 1108.9 x 310.6 x 383.5 mm (with plinth). Sensitivity is 88dB, frequency range is 33Hz–50kHz (-6dB), and the bass response drops to 27Hz at -6dB.

I’ve been using them for a few years now in my home setup — not just a stereo, but actually a decent system for music and movies. The uni-quad driver array has a 25mm HF dome, 125mm mid-range cone, and two 165mm bass drivers. The max output is 111dB, and the amplifier power recommendation is 15–250W (8 ohms nominal).

I originally bought them from a UK retailer, and they’ve been well cared for. The manuals, maintenance guide, and brochures are all still with me.
