Quirky, rare and charming! What a truly wonderful and original little French car this is! Purchased brand new from Caledonia Renault of Romford in April 2007, for £13,173.75. Ordered in Naples Red Metallic Coachwork, range topping RXE specification and the bullet proof 1.6 Injection Petrol Engine. The car stayed in the same ownership for over 26 years, until the elderly owner retired from driving. The car had been sold (by us) twice thereafter, to retro car enthusiasts. On both occasions after enjoying the car, they have seen something else in our portfolio and have upgraded accordingly. The condition of the car inside, outside, underneath and mechanically is second to none! The bodywork is free from any lacquer peel, corrosion or unsightly imperfections. The sills and arches are free from any corrosion and the car sits extremely proud of itself indeed. Sporting its original supplying dealer number plates and window sticker! We have the original purchase invoice from Caledonia Renault, featuring a Peugeot 306 in part exchange. The original Renault book pack with operating manuals is also still with the vehicle, along with two remote keys. This delightful Megane uses no water or oil and maintains perfect temperature in and out of traffic. The clutch has just been replaced, the steering, suspension and brakes operate perfectly with no issues whatsoever. The engine is sprightly, smoke free and fires up with the first turn of the key. The original interior is virtually spotless and really takes you back to this period in time, simply outstanding. The service history portfolio is just as impressive as the car itself. We have a huge collection of paperwork, including EVERY service invoice, parts invoices, health check, individual MOT certificate and TAX disc! We more than likely have every invoice or receipt ever produced for this vehicle, over the last quarter of a century. It really is that comprehensive.
