2009 Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback Manual 5-door
Description
So, I’ve got this 2009 Corsa hatchback sitting here in Lakenheath, West Suffolk, and I’m actually thinking of selling it as a project or just as a spare parts car. It’s not exactly showroom-ready — I’ve got another car I’m using daily, so this one’s really more for me to fix up and get back on the road properly.Right now, it’s going in for a brake fluid change and system bleed starting 18th August — that’ll be done before I hand it over. The MOT runs until early November 2025, so it’s still valid.
What’s needed? A timing chain replacement, front brake discs and pads, handbrake cable, and the top strut mounts (they’ve started squeaking). The ABS pump was replaced, but the system needs bleeding — I’ll do that before it goes to market. The brake pedal feels spongy because of that, and the exhaust’s been leaking at the front — not great, but fixable.
On the positive side, I’ve swapped out the throttle body and the ABS pump (both new), and done a few bits like new driver-side caliper, track rod ends, and rear brake cylinders and shoes. I’ve also done some cosmetic work — custom vinyls and alloy wheels (the original wheels are still in the sale).
It’s still being driven, so mileage will go up a bit before I sell it. I’ve got a bit of work planned, and it should be ready by the end of August. I’m open to offers — just not expecting a huge one, since it’s not in pristine condition. If you’re into classic small cars or just looking for a project, I’d be happy to chat.
