I’ve had this 2021 Mercedes-Benz A35 AMG Edition for a few years now and it’s been a real joy to drive. Only 26,000 miles on the clock, so it’s been well looked after and still runs like a dream. It’s Euro 6 compliant, which means it’s clean and meets modern emissions standards — no fuss with the environment or the regs.

The 2.0L engine isn’t just powerful, it’s smooth and delivers that punchy 0-62mph in about 47 seconds — not too quick, not too slow, just right for a daily driver with a bit of fun. The AMG trim gives it that sporty edge without being overly aggressive. You get things like Blind Spot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control, which are actually useful when driving on the motorways or in traffic.

Inside, the cabin feels premium — heated front seats, a 100W sound system that actually plays well, and a panoramic sunroof that opens up completely. I love how you can just open it up on a sunny day and feel the breeze. The seats are comfortable, and the boot space is plenty — enough for a couple of weekend trips or a big load of stuff.

It’s got all the safety stuff too — pretensioner seat belts, cruise control, and headlamp assist that turns on automatically when it gets dark. I don’t know about you, but that little thing helps a lot when driving at night.

It’s parked in Newmilns, East Ayrshire, and I’m looking to part ways with it. I’ve kept it in great shape, and it’s been one of the most reliable and enjoyable drives I’ve had.
