Vintage Brown Leather Gladstone Bag
Description
I’ve been keeping this old Gladstone bag in my shed for years — it’s a solid piece, honestly. The brown leather is thick and sturdy, with a good amount of wear but still looks really clean and intact. The carry handle’s in great shape, and the stitching holds up well. I’ve gently cleaned it with Stübben leather care, so it’s not just sitting dusty — it’s actually looking better than it has in a long time.Inside, there’s a nice nylon lining with a zip pocket, and the steel latches and central lock work perfectly. There’s a little bit of age-related scuffing here and there, but nothing that really stands out. The base has those little metal studs — nice touch, keeps it from scuffing on the floor. I even kept the key inside, tucked in the zip pocket.
It’s about 19” long, 11” wide, and 10” tall — big enough for a night trip, or just to carry a few things around. No manufacturer mark, but it’s a solid, quality vintage bag. I’ve been using it for storage mostly, but it’s always looked like something you’d actually want to use.
It’s from Haslington, Winterley — I’m just passing it on to someone who might actually appreciate it. I know it’s not brand new, but it’s in a surprisingly good state. If you’re wondering how it looks, check the photos — they’re the best guide. If you’ve got questions, just shoot me a message. No pressure, just sharing something I’ve had for ages. 🙌
