2023 Kia Sportage 1.6T GDi ISG 3-door 5-seater Petrol Estate

So I’ve had this 2023 Kia Sportage for a few months now, and honestly, it’s become my go-to for daily drives. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid — practical, comfortable, and actually quite easy to keep on the budget.

I’ve driven it through the hills around beddau, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and it handles the UK weather pretty well. The 1.6T engine is smooth, not too thirsty, and the Euro 6 compliance means it’s a bit easier on the environment and the insurance — which is a big win for someone who doesn’t want to pay a fortune on premiums.

Some of the things I really appreciate:
- Automatic headlights that kick in at dusk — no fiddling with switches
- Heated seats (front and rear) and heated steering wheel — makes those cold mornings a lot more bearable
- Reverse camera built into the screen — super handy when parking in tight spots
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice control — I use it all the time, especially when I’m on the go
- The boot’s generous — I can fit a couple of bags, a camping setup, or even a small bike if I need to
- It’s in a low insurance group, so it’s not expensive to insure — great if you’re new to driving or just want to keep costs down

Other neat bits: rear wiper, privacy glass, automatic windows, rain-sensing wipers, heated backlite, traction control, hill start assist, parking sensors, lane keep assist, and even a smart cruise control with stop-and-go. The safety features are solid — includes forward collision avoidance, lane following, and all that.

I bought it new, and it’s been mostly low-mileage since. The price is £19,383.30 — it’s not cheap, but it’s what I was looking for in terms of balance between features and cost.
