Description
I’ve had this sideboard for a while now, and it’s honestly one of those pieces that just fits so well in a room. It’s made from yew and yew veneer, which gives it a solid, warm feel — not flashy, but sturdy. Three doors, three drawers, and three shelves that you can adjust in height, so it’s not just storage, it’s actually useful. I gave it a good sanding and then sprayed it with three coats of light grey Johnstones Trade Aqua Guard Satin — it’s scrubbable and looks really clean. The top got the same treatment with a clear lacquer for a bit of protection. I added new bronze cup handles and knobs, which just give it a bit of polish without being too fancy. It’s 86cm tall, 148cm wide, and 38cm deep — not huge, but it holds everything without cluttering the space. It’s been in my kitchen for years, and I’ve actually used it every day, so it’s not just sitting there, it’s lived in. I’ve only recently given it a fresh coat, and it looks great now. I can deliver it to Goring-by-sea, Goring Street if you’d like — just let me know. It’s £108, but I don’t mind if you want to chat about it.
