Description

I’ve had this Jorvik folding electric mountain trike for a few years now — it’s been a real life-saver for getting around local lanes and even on holiday trips. I’ve used it a lot, especially when I’d be out walking or exploring countryside paths, and it really made a difference.

But recently, my mobility has changed, and I can’t ride it safely anymore. So I’m letting it go — not because it’s not good, but because it’s no longer something I can use comfortably.

It’s a red JMT9 model with a 250W motor assist. The thing that makes it so handy is how it folds — just two quick-release sections, front wheel and saddle too, so it fits easily in the boot of a car. The 20-inch tyres, front suspension, and sprung saddle give it a solid, comfortable ride. The suspension can be adjusted for sag, which helps depending on whether you’re riding on tarmac or rougher ground.

It’s got a 7-speed hub gear system (Shimano twist shifter), no maintenance needed, and good ground clearance. There’s a differential that splits power to both rear wheels, which helps with traction. The battery’s tucked under the saddle, so it doesn’t take up space in the boot.

It’s got anti-theft locks, and I can charge it either on or off the trike. The brakes are hydraulic disc brakes on all three wheels, with a handy hand brake option. Mudguards on all wheels and a big luggage box — perfect for picnics, sandwiches, and drinks.

One of my favourite bits is the "starter" booster — helps when you’re starting from a stop, especially on hills or uneven ground. There’s also a walk mode if you need to push it. The lights are LED, with the rear one flashing when you brake. The control panel shows power level (up to 5), battery, speed, mileage, and time — I’ve only done about 225 miles total.

It’s been reliable, fun, and practical — and now, it’s time to pass it on. I’ve used it through a lot of different situations, and it’s been a solid companion. It’s been stored in a garage in march, Fenland District, and I’ll be sorting it out for delivery. I’m not selling it for a lot — just passing it on to someone who might actually use it.
