Description

I’ve had this Firebird for a few years now and honestly, it’s one of the most reliable guitars I’ve ever played. It’s a 2003 Custom Shop “Non-Reversed” model in TV White, solid mahogany body, and that classic Firebird shape — not a lot of people still have these, so it’s been a real joy to play.

It’s got three original P-90s, all factory setup, no swaps or mods — just what you’d expect from a true Custom Shop. The hardware is all gold, which matches the vintage vibe. The neck’s a one-piece mahogany with a long tenon, and it’s got that classic Firebird rounded profile — comfortable for long sessions. Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and those pearloid dot inlays, nut width is 1-11/16", which is a bit wide but works well for me.

The guitar’s been well cared for — no major dings, just some very light surface scratches, nothing that affects how it plays. It’s still got that original Gibson hard case and the certificate of authenticity tucked away. I’ve played it in different settings — gigs, practice, even just sitting on a chair with a record — and it holds up well.

It’s a 4.0kg guitar, serial CS31809, and I’ve kept it as-is since new. I’m moving to Dursley, Stroud, so I’m passing it on. It’s not a flashy or flashy upgrade — just a solid, original guitar with a great tone and a real vintage feel. If you’re into classic rock or blues, this one’s got you covered.

It’s worth about £2,695.50, but I’m not going to say that — it’s just how I’ve kept it, and I’m happy to part with it after all this time.
