2016 Volkswagen Scirocco GT Black Edition Purple
Description
So, I’ve been driving this 2016 Scirocco GT Black Edition for a few years now — it’s my go-to for weekend trips and daily drives. The purple paint is a bit of a standout, and it’s not one of those boring factory colours — it really pops. It’s a 2.0 TDI diesel, so not the fastest car on the road, but it’s got a nice mid-range punch and pulls smoothly through the gears. Gets from 0 to 62 in about 8.6 seconds, top speed around 134 — not a track car, but it’s got a decent bit of spirit under the hood. Fuel efficiency is actually pretty good for a diesel, over 60 mpg combined, which is a real plus when you’re trying to keep running costs down.
Inside, it’s a bit sporty — leather seats, steering wheel with a nice touch of sportiness, and the cabin feels solid. The 6.5-inch screen has sat nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth, and front/rear parking sensors. All the usual bits — climate control, electric windows, auto lights, fog lights — are there. I use the stop-start function a lot, especially when I’m on the move in town.
It’s a three-door coupe, so it’s not massive, but the boot holds 312 litres — not huge, but enough for a weekend kit. Fold the back seats down and it’s a decent size for a couple of people on a short trip.
I’ve kept it well-maintained, and it’s had a few service checks over the years. The only thing I’d say is that it’s not a daily driver for long distances, but it’s a great car for the kind of driving I do — mostly local, with a bit of a mix of city and country routes.
It’s based in Buxton, High Peak, so if you're around there or driving in the area, I might be able to give it a quick chat. It’s not flashy, but it’s got character — and honestly, I’ve never seen a purple Scirocco that looks this sharp.
Price is £9,249.30 — if you’re interested, I can go over it in more detail. Just let me know.
