2016 MINI John Cooper Works Hatchback
Description
So I’ve been keeping this little 2016 MINI John Cooper Works around for a few years now — it’s been a real joy to drive, and I’m finally ready to part with it.It’s got that classic JCW punch — 2.0L engine, 312bhp thanks to a stage 2 remap (with printout), and it’s been properly sorted with a full service history. The car’s been loved, not just driven — every bit of it has been looked after. I’ve had it serviced regularly, including oil changes, brake fluid, rear brakes, spark plugs, and even gearbox oil — all done by trusted garages over the years.
The interior is clean and solid — full leather seats, a proper sat-nav, Bluetooth, heated seats, and a heads-up display. The exterior is all carbon fibre touches: front splitter, wing, mirrors, roof spoiler, and side skirts. The 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels are JCW track spoked, and the red calipers give it that sharp, performance look.
I’ve also had a few upgrades: a big intercooler, Forge intake, Brembo high-carbon discs with EBC pads, a custom exhaust with a permanent open switch, and a lot of black trim pieces inside. Even the inertia dampers are still in the car — that’s a detail I’m proud of.
It’s got a 12-month MOT (which is brand new), full V5, and no issues with the registration. The current mileage is 85,812 — not bad at all for a car that’s been driven with care. It’s been registered to RY66MBX and has four previous owners, but no major damage or repairs.
I bought it new for £12,995 — and it’s been well maintained, so it’s in great condition overall. The road tax is £190 a year, and it’s Euro 6 compliant.
I’m moving to Llanfyrnach, Pembrokeshire now, so it’s not going to be on the road much longer. I’ve had it in and out of storage a few times, and it’s been spotless.
If you’re looking for something sharp, sporty, and well-maintained — this one’s a solid choice. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s interested. If you want to see it in person or talk through it, just give me a ring — I’ll be happy to set something up.
I’m not selling it to just anyone — I want it to go to someone who’ll really appreciate how it’s been cared for.
(And yes, I know it’s a bit pricey — £11,695.50 is what it’s worth, but that’s not the main thing. It’s more about the experience and the fact that it’s been properly kept.)
