Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch A1278 with charger and Big Sur running

I’ve got this old MacBook Pro 13-inch A1278 — it’s been in my hands for a few years now and I’ve actually kept it in pretty good shape. The battery’s showing a service warning, but it still runs fine and lasts a decent time. I found a replacement battery on eBay for just £15 — easy to swap in if you want to go that route.

It’s got a 2.4GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. I’ve got a fresh install of macOS Big Sur running on it, using an OCLP patcher since the last official update was Catalina. It’s not brand new, but it’s solid and runs smooth for everyday tasks.

There are a few small marks, mostly on the sides — nothing that really stands out. The keyboard and trackpad are still responsive, and it’s got the original charger included.

I’m based in Rutland, England, so if you’re local, I can just hand it over. If not, I can arrange a local delivery.

Also, if you’d like, I can include a brand new protective case that covers the sides, lid, and bottom — it’s £12 and fits perfectly. I’ve used it myself and it’s actually helped a lot with keeping it safe.

Just thought I’d share it — it’s been a good companion over the years, and I’m not using it much anymore.
