Description

So I’ve been driving this Golf for just over a year now and honestly, it’s been a solid daily driver — no drama, good range, and a bit of that premium feel without the price tag. It’s a 2022 1.5 TSI, 150bhp, five-door hatchback with manual gearbox — not the fastest, but it’s smooth and efficient.

The interior’s got that Soul Black cloth with leatherette armrests and door inserts — feels nice, especially on long drives. Front seats are sports-comfort style with microfibre bolsters, and the back has a split bench with a bit of headroom. There’s a lot of storage — cupholders, storage bins, even a little drawer in the front armrest. The climate control is three-zone, and the dashboard has a 10.25-inch digital screen with a clean layout — you can customise what shows up, and it’s actually useful for navigation, trips, and even SOS eCall.

Outside, it’s got all the smart bits: LED DRLs, automatic headlights, fog lights with cornering function, and a reversing camera. The mirrors are electric and heated, with little puddle lights and auto-tilt when reversing. The windows are electric, and the wipers have a rain sensor. Windscreen is heat-insulated, rear wiper has delay, and there’s ambient lighting — I’ve actually used the 30-colour setting a few times, just for fun.

Safety’s solid — front and side airbags, curtain airbags, ESP, ABS, traction control, and lane assist. There’s even a driver alert system and a front passenger airbag deactivation option, which I’ve used when I’m not in the front seat. The keyless entry works well, and the start/stop button is right where you’d expect.

It’s right-hand drive, metallic reflex silver paint, 18-inch Dallas alloy wheels with anti-theft bolts. The trim is a mix of high-gloss black console and some wood-like inserts — not flashy, but gives it a bit of character.

I bought it new and have only done about 20,000 miles — no major repairs, just regular servicing. The only thing I’ll say is it’s a bit of a high-mileage car for a new model, but it’s been reliable.

It’s currently parked in west-moors, Dorset — just a short drive from the coast. I’m not selling it for a lot — £17,318.70 — but it’s been a good companion for work and weekend trips. If you’re looking for a practical, feature-rich hatchback that doesn’t scream "luxury" but still has all the smart bits, this might be your kind of car.

If you’re interested, I’m happy to show it or talk through the details — just let me know.
