2025 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI SE 5-door hatchback
Description
This 2025 MG HS SE is a solid, well-equipped hatchback with a clean, modern look and plenty of tech features. It’s got a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a virtual driver display, so you can easily switch between Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car’s smart safety suite includes blind spot detection, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and a rear cross-traffic alert — all useful stuff, especially if you’re driving on winding roads or in busy areas.Inside, there’s a 6-speaker audio system with DAB, USB charging (four ports total — two front, two rear), and a couple of 12V sockets. The seats are comfortable with a 60/40 fold-down second row, and the 3-point seatbelts are all properly fitted with pretensioners. I’ve got a lot of room for kids or cargo, and the rear side doors are a nice touch.
The interior is cloth upholstery, and there’s a front centre armrest with storage, height-adjustable steering, and a driver’s seat with full electric controls. The mirrors are electric and heated, and the lights are all LED — from daytime running lights to 3rd brake lights and fog lights. Rain-sensing wipers and auto-dimming mirrors make daily drives feel smooth.
It’s got a lot of safety tech under the hood: ABS, ESP, electronic stability control, pedestrian and bicycle detection, and even a tyre pressure monitor. The 19-inch blade alloy wheels look sharp, and it has a keyless entry and push-button start.
I bought this through a trusted MG dealer in Oxfordshire — Waylands — a family-run business with a solid reputation. They’ve been named AM Dealer Group of the Year for six years running, and I’ve had a great experience with their team. They offer home delivery and part exchanges, and I’m happy with the value.
It’s currently based in Grantown-on-Spey, Highland, and the price is £19,106.10 — which is a fair bit for a new car, especially with all the features. I’m not selling it for a quick profit, just because I’ve found something else I’d rather drive now.
If you’re interested, I’ll be happy to chat — no pressure, just a real talk about what you’d want from a car.
