WINDSURFING ROOF BOX WITH SIDE OPENING

Description

I’ve got this quiverack roof box sitting in my garage in Dudley, West Midlands — it’s been a real workhorse for years. I use it mostly for windsurfing gear, but honestly, I’ve loaded it up with everything from bikes to camping gear just as a regular roof box. The side opening is a game-changer — no more fumbling with doors or lugging stuff in and out.

It’s made of solid glass fibre, not that flimsy plastic you see on most roof boxes, so it’s sturdy and holds up well. The inside is 27.5cm high, 58cm wide, and 262cm long — plenty of room. The two sliding tracks under the floor let you position the roof bar fixings exactly where you need them, so it fits almost any car or van with a roof rack or bars.

There are carry bars and strap points on top, and it’s got two locks on the side door — plus new gas struts that keep it open when you’re loading. I’ve never had a drop of water get in, even during the worst rain. It’s been used a lot, but not abused — just a few light marks from years of use.
