I’m selling my 2002 BMW R1100S Boxer Cup – one of those rare early versions from the race-inspired run that celebrated Randy Mamola’s success. It’s in the unique Insignia Blue and white colour scheme, which was only offered in limited numbers, and just 135 were made for the UK market. This one’s a genuine factory build with the original single spark engine – a version that’s not common at all, especially in this colour and configuration.

It’s got ABS, heated grips, a sports exhaust, carbon fibre huggers, engine covers, full belly pan, and the original BMW panniers with mounting brackets. The rear swingarm is single-sided with a wide offset, and both wheels are blue – the front is the matching blue, and the rear has new Metzeler tyres. All the original parts are there, and it’s fully documented with keys, service pack, and full service history.

It’s been kept well and is completely original. I’ve only ever done basic maintenance and it’s still running great. I’m based in Chatteris, Fenland District, so if you’re local, I can arrange a view by appointment. No rush – I don’t want anyone coming over unannounced.

I’ve got it on display at a small showroom I run, and I’ll only let people see it if they’ve called first. The price is £5,845.50, but I’m not going to go into that in the title or upfront – just wanted to be honest about it.

I’ve been in the car world for over 40 years, so I know what to look for. I’ve never sold a vehicle without making sure it’s mechanically sound, and every one I’ve had in stock has been fully checked, with full HPI and service records. If it’s out of warranty, I’ll give it a three-month guarantee.
