Rocky – 1-year-old Japanese Akita x Husky
Description
So, I’ve got Rocky now. He’s 1 year old, a mix of Japanese Akita and Husky, and honestly, he’s a real turnaround story. When he came to me, he’d been through a tough time – neglected, abused, and really didn’t trust people. He was food aggressive, nippy, and super skinny, and he’d freak out at the hoover. He’d also only tolerate being outside for about 10 minutes before getting stressed. Now? He’s a totally different dog. Playful, affectionate, and full of energy. Still has a bit of food aggression, but if you just leave his bowl alone until he walks away, it’s fine. He’s wormed, flea-treated, and all his vaccines are up to date.
He’s a big dog – needs long walks and a good lead. He’s got a solid recall, but he gets skittish around loud vehicles. And he’s a bit anxious around people in hats or head coverings – just something to be aware of.
He’s still a puppy, so he’ll chew occasionally. Not a dog for kids or other pets – he’s not ready for that. But once you build trust, he’ll be your best friend.
He’s been fully vetted and comes with everything he needs. I’ve been looking after him for a while, and he’s really come a long way. Just needs a few weeks to settle in – and a patient, calm home.
He’s from county-antrim, Northern Ireland.
