Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI DSG 2012 MK6 Red 5-door

Description

So, I’m parting with my old VW Golf – the one I’ve had for over four years. It’s a 2012 MK6 1.6 TDI with the DSG automatic, and I painted it red when I got it, and it’s still looking pretty sharp. Five doors, which I’ve always liked – practical, no fuss.

The gearbox is a DSG with a brand new mechatronics unit installed, so it’s been properly looked after. I’ve serviced it regularly and had the timing belt replaced recently – nothing major ever came up until now.

That said, it’s started showing a gearbox overheating warning, which the garage said is down to a worn clutch. That means it’ll need a clutch replacement to fix properly. I’ve been meaning to do it for a while, but now I’m moving on and buying a new car, so I’ve decided to sell it.

It runs fine most of the time, just a bit of a nagging warning light now. I’ve owned it through three previous owners (me included, so not a lot of drama), and it’s never had any real issues before.
