Description

So, I’ve got this 2002 BMW 316i (E46) SE sitting in my garage in Corby, North Northamptonshire — not exactly a flashy spot, but it’s been tucked away since 2018 for personal reasons, and honestly, I’m not sure how long it’s been in storage.

It was new from Woolaston Motors in Northampton back in 2002, and the original invoice is still on file — that was a pretty hefty price at the time, £19,698. I remember the car looked sharp when it came out, and it’s been well looked after by the two owners. The first one kept it from new until earlier this year, when I sold it to him — he really loved it, and I’m sad to say it’s now being passed on because of a change in his life.

The car has only done about 31,500 miles, and it’s been stored securely, so it’s never seen the road in a while. I brought it out this year and had it checked by Sytner Leicester — a proper BMW dealer — and they did a full health check. Everything came back clean, including fresh tyres (Pirelli P7s), brake fluid, coolant, fuel filter, and a full service. It’s got a clean MOT up to March 2026, and all the old tax discs and MOTs are in the files.

It’s steel grey metallic with anthracite cloth interior and that nice myrtle wood trim — the door handles even have colour coding, which I always thought was a small but nice touch. The original service book and book pack are still with it, plus the dealer registration plates.

I’ve never driven it much, so it’s not really on the road, but I’ve kept it in good shape. It’s a solid, tidy car — if you’re into classics and want something that looks good and runs well, this one’s a solid example.

I’m selling it for £0.90 — yeah, that’s right, it’s a bit of a joke, but I’m just trying to get rid of it before I move. I’d hate to keep it around if I’m not using it.

If you’re interested, I’m happy to show it around or send photos. Just let me know. No guarantees on condition — it’s been sitting for years, and it’s not a daily driver, but it looks great and runs well when it’s been looked after.

And yeah, I know it’s a bit odd — a classic car for £0.90 — but it’s not really for sale in the traditional sense. More like a “what if I just get rid of it” moment.

Let me know if you want to see it.
