2006 Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTE Civics are still good, this one's been well looked after
Description
I’ve had this 2006 Honda Civic for a few years now — it’s been a solid daily driver, mostly around Loanhead, Midlothian. It’s a 1.8 i-VTEC SE, five-door hatchback, petrol, manual — no fancy extras, just clean, reliable driving. It’s not flashy, but it handles well and drives smoothly. I’ve kept it well maintained, and it’s been through a full service and MOT, though the previous one had a small issue with the mileage — it was recorded in miles when it should’ve been kilometres. I’ve double-checked that, and it’s been fixed.
The engine’s not loud or rough, and it gets around 44 mpg — pretty decent for the class. The boot’s got 485 litres, so it’s not a tiny car — plenty of room for groceries or weekend trips. It only produces 152g of CO2 per km, which is better than most of its peers.
I’ve had it inspected properly by an AA-approved dealer, and it’s covered under a 3-month warranty. There’s also a 12-month MOT included, and I can give you a full multi-point check if you want to see it.
I’m selling it because I’ve just upgraded to a slightly newer model. I’m not looking for a quick buyer — I’d prefer someone who’s serious about driving it, and who’ll take care of it.
It’s not cheap, but it’s a solid car that’s been reliable over the years. I’m offering it at £2,250 — fully refundable if you want to see it, and I’m available to meet up 7 days a week. Part exchanges are welcome, and I’ll help with the paperwork.
If you’re thinking about it, just give me a shout. I’ll be honest — it’s not perfect, but it’s been good for me, and I think it’ll serve you well too.
