2008 Vauxhall Meriva 1.6i 16V 5-door MPV

So, I’ve had this 2008 Vauxhall Meriva 1.6i for a few years now — it’s been a solid family car, mostly kept well looked after and regularly serviced. The 1.6L engine runs smooth, has plenty of power when you need it, and I’ve managed to get over 48 miles per gallon on average, which is pretty good for its age.

It’s a five-door MPV, so it’s great for families or if you’ve got a bit of space to spare. Inside it’s clean and tidy, not flashy, but it’s been well maintained — all the key bits like power steering, ABS, electric windows, and CD player still work. I’ve just had it serviced, so it’s in good shape and ready to go.

I’ve got two keys, four good tyres, and it’s been properly maintained with a full service history. There’s a small cat mark on the door and a few minor paint touches, but nothing major — just something you’d spot in the pictures.

MOT runs until December 2025, so it’s not due for a long time. It’s got 99,000 miles on the clock, but nothing’s broken — it’s just been used responsibly. I’ve also got a low insurance group (12E), and it’s tax-wise, it’s only £140.25 a year.

One thing to note — it’s a petrol car, so ULEZ doesn’t apply here. I’ve got Bluetooth, so I can pair my phone to play music and take calls hands-free.

I’m moving to Burton-on-Trent, East Staffordshire, so it’s coming out of the garage and I’m looking to get rid of it. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable and actually quite pleasant to drive. If you’re thinking of something practical and not too flashy, this one might just fit.
