Set of 4 Vintage Chippendale Revival Dining Chairs
Description
I’ve had these chairs for years, originally bought for my dining room back when I was setting up a more traditional vibe. They’re a set of four solid wood dining chairs from the mid-20th century, styled in the Chippendale revival – that classic, elegant look that was popular back then. The splats are lyre-shaped with pierced details, and the top rails are shaped to give it that refined feel. The seats are drop-in and upholstered in a patterned fabric, which has a bit of wear and fading over time, but they’re still solid and hold up well.I’ve used them in my home in Attleborough, Breckland District, and they’ve stood up to regular use. The wood is solid, likely mahogany or a similar hardwood, and the frame is sturdy – no issues with structure. The upholstery isn’t brand new, and there are some scuffs and spots from age and everyday use, but it’s not bad at all. If you’re looking for something with character and a bit of history, these are a good fit. I’m not planning to keep them in the house long-term, so I’m passing them on. They could be reupholstered easily if you want to match a different style, or just enjoyed as they are.
I’ve only recently moved to Attleborough, so they’re now in a different place than before – but they’re still in good condition and have a real, warm feel to them. I’m happy to share them with someone who appreciates vintage pieces.
