2018 VW Transporter T28 Panel Van – Metallic Silver, Manual, Rear Tailgate

So, I’ve had this 2018 VW Transporter T28 sitting in my garage for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been one of my favourite vans ever since I got it. It’s a bright metallic silver with the rear tailgate door – that’s the classic setup people talk about, and I’ve never had a problem with it.

It’s only had one owner since new, and I’ve kept it very well maintained. Last full service was done in May 2025, and it’s had everything checked and serviced at the same garage since 2018 – all the records are there, and I’ve kept it in great shape. Got a fresh MOT done in June 2026, so it’s still got that valid run.

The engine’s a 2.0 TDI with 101bhp – smooth, quiet, and efficient. Fuel economy’s actually better than I expected: 54.3mpg extra urban, 40.4mpg in cold urban, and combined 47.9mpg. For a van, that’s pretty good. It’s got a 5-speed manual gearbox – drives like new, no jolts, no issues.

Inside it’s comfortable, all the bits work – aircon, DAB radio, power steering, electric windows, auto headlights, alloy wheels, alarm with immobiliser, ESP, anti-lock brakes. Everything’s functional and in great shape. I’ve had all the tyres replaced recently – brand new, with loads of tread left.

It’s only got 117k miles on it, and the only marks are the kind you’d expect from a 7-year-old van – nothing major. The V5 is with me, two keys, and I’ve got the HPI report too. No swaps, no history of issues.

I live in Broseley, Shropshire, so it’s not far from where I keep it. It’s been a real workhorse for me over the years – used for moving things around, weekend trips, storage – and I’ve never needed to fix anything major.
