2X Penn Stand-up Game Rods

Got these two Penn Stand-up rods lying around after using them a bit over the years — both are 6’6” long and I’ve actually used them quite a bit, especially for livebait casting and wrecking.

The first one’s a Penn Med Tuna Stand-up, Sea Power 6630 — it’s got 30-40lb line, though the label says 20-30lb, which was a factory mix-up. I’ve checked the specs and it’s definitely 30-40lb, so it’s solid for targeting tailing striped marlin. It’s got a roller casting tip, aluminium reel seat, and gimbal. A bit of cracking on the lower eyes, but nothing major — still works great and has caught some decent fish.

The second one’s a Penn Med Tuna Stand-up, Sea Power 6612 — 12-16lb line, new tip eye fitted, aluminium seat, plastic gimbal. I’ve only used it a little, so it’s in great shape. Perfect for sailfish or lighter game fishing.

I’ve been using these in and around Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, and just thought I’d part with them — both are in average condition, but still very usable. I’m splitting them up, so if you’re interested, just let me know. They’re not fancy, but they’ve seen real use and I’ve kept them well.
