Got this RX-8 R3 sitting in my garage in Torrington, Torridge District — one of just 19 ever made globally, and the only one not insurance write-off in the UK. I bought it back in the day, then decided to go full collection mode and picked up a RX-8 Spirit for the shelf. This one’s been pretty much untouched since — only a few miles, mostly on trickle charge, never driven much.

It’s got all the factory R3 upgrades: the facelift bodykit, Recaro seats, auto lights, wipers, cruise control. Sound system’s been upgraded to Bose, engine and gearbox are clean, and it’s got Bilstein suspension with 19-inch forged BBS alloys. The interior has Apple CarPlay and the steering wheel is alcantara wrapped — original parts included.

Mechanical side? Absolutely solid. New battery, spark plugs, and oil change done just three months ago. I’ve kept it running smoothly with no real issues. That said, I’d personally do a front bumper respray — it’s just not looking quite right. There’s a small dent on the rear right fender, a bit of paint peeled on the rear bumper, and a scratch on the rear left — could be machine polished, haven’t tried yet. A few stone chips on the bonnet and roof too, and two of the alloys are slightly scratched.

I’ve had a quote for a local SMART repair — under £800 to fix the paint work. No mods at all, just the interior upgrades. HPI clear, never financed, full service history — though it’s all digital from the dealer, which is standard for Mazda.

I’m happy to show it, even to traders — just keep offers sensible. It’s not flashy, but it’s a genuine, well-maintained piece of Mazda history. If you’re into classic sports cars, this one’s a solid keeper.
