Got this Mazda MX-5 from a friend in cobham, Elmbridge – it’s been sitting in the garage for a while, just waiting to be driven. It’s a 2022 model with the 2.0L engine, 184hp, and manual transmission – not flashy, but a real driver’s car with a nice balance of fun and practicality.

Inside, it’s got a 7-inch touchscreen with Mazda Connect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus apps like Aha and Stitcher. The dash has an analogue speedo, a multi-dot tachometer, and a water temperature gauge – feels like you’re getting a bit of that classic car vibe.

Safety features are solid: blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, driver alert system, and eCall. Cruise control with speed limiter and traffic sign recognition are also there. There’s a reversing camera, parking sensors, and a hands-free phone prep system.

The roof is electric and retracts smoothly, with heated rear glass – I’ve used it a few times in the rain, and it’s pretty handy. The interior is body-coloured with piano black bars, and the mirrors are body-coloured too. All the windows are electric, and the headlights have adaptive LED tech with auto dimming.

I’ve kept it pretty low maintenance – clean, well-maintained, and the service indicator has been checked regularly. There’s a 12V socket, coin box, and climate control with driver and front passenger AC.

It’s not a daily driver, but I’ve been using it for weekend drives and short trips. The price is £21,105 – it’s a bit on the high side, but it’s a solid, well-equipped little car.
