This sideboard is by Julian Chichester – a solid mat silver mahogany piece with that lovely "cracked" glaze finish. It’s a bit of a character, honestly – a small bit of fading in one corner, but it’s not too bad and you can easily hide it with a plant or a decorative item. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely one of those pieces that just feels like it belongs in a real home. Measures 214x85x56. I’ve had it for years, and it’s been in my kitchen in Bodmin, Cornwall, ever since I moved there. I’m not sure where it’s going next, but it’s definitely not going to be in a showroom.
