Got this old Mountfield mower sitting in my garage in Arrochar, Argyll and Bute, and figured I’d part with it after using it for years. It’s a Honda-powered 4-speed self-drive roller mower, fully serviced and the blades have been sharpened — runs smooth and starts on the first pull, no fuss at all. The 160cc OHC engine is solid, and I’ve used it on a few large flat gardens where you really want that clean, striped finish.

The deck’s cast aluminium, so it won’t rust, and it’s in great original condition — no cracks, no dents, just looks like it’s been well looked after. The 4-speed assisted drive means you don’t have to push much, and the cutting height can be adjusted in 7 positions with a simple spring-loaded lever. Handlebars fold up for easy storage or transport, and it comes with a big grass bag.
