I’m selling my 2021 VW California Beach pop top campervan – it’s been a real joy to have around for the last few years, especially when we’ve been camping in Suffolk or just doing weekend getaways.

It’s low mileage, which is a big plus, and has a solid service history with the original VW records still in place. The engine’s a strong 150bhp auto gearbox, and it’s got cruise control, cabin air con, and a carplay system – so I can keep playing tunes or streaming while on the move.

Inside, there are four berths and four seatbelts, plus twin swivelling captain’s seats – really comfortable for a family or two. The pop top has a sleeping platform, which is great for extra space when you need it. I’ve kept the original camping chairs and have both internal and external folding tables.

The rear has blackout blinds and windscreen screens, which helps with sleep and comfort in different lighting. Storage is decent – underbed cupboard, a big boot, and built-in cupboards. There’s also a gas hob, so I’ve cooked a few meals on the go.

It’s got a July 2026 MOT and the V5 is still in the name – everything’s in order. I’ve also got a basic alarm system, just in case.

I’ve been using it mostly in Bury, Suffolk, and it’s been very reliable. I’m not sure if it’s the right fit for everyone, but if you’re looking for a solid, practical campervan with good features and a clean history, it might just be what you’ve been hoping for.

The price is £48,599.10 – it’s not cheap, but I’ve kept it well looked after and it’s been a great investment.

I’ve been through the process with Motorhome Depot, which helped me get a smooth transfer and a bit of peace of mind. They handle the paperwork, the finance options, and even offer a 31-day insurance trial – though you’d need to call Caravan Guard to activate it.

I’ve not done any inspections myself, so if you’re serious about buying, I’d really recommend getting a pre-purchase check before you commit.
