Description

Got this Anton Sprint Pro 4 gas analyser sitting in my shed in Lydbury-North, Shropshire – it’s been five years since I bought it and has seen a fair bit of use. It’s not got a warranty, and honestly, it needs a calibration before it’s safe to use again.

It measures CO, CO2, and oxygen levels, and can do CO:CO2 ratios, temperature readings (like excess air, flow, return, and differential), efficiency checks, and pressure tests – including lay-by and tightness tests. It’s also got the ability to run BS7967 CO sweep tests and ambient air monitoring, with over-range protection. The dual-beam infrared CO2 sensor means it can do ambient CO2 monitoring too, and it can measure CO and CO2 at the same time – which is handy for things like catering checks, incident investigations, or COMCAT stuff like CMDDA1.

It’s been used by professionals, especially plumbers and engineers, because it can generate BS7967 CO Room Safety Reports. It’s compliant with EN 50379-1:2012 and EN 50379-3:2012, built tough with a secure flue probe connection, and has double protection against condensation – so it’s less likely to get damaged by moisture. That means less downtime and fewer missed days on the job.

No probe set or printer comes with it, and I’ve only ever used it on flue gas systems. It’s been a solid tool over the years, but I’m downsizing and just need to get it calibrated. It’s sitting in a dry place now, so it’s not in bad shape – just needs a bit of work. Price is £180, but I’m not selling it for a lot of money, just getting it out of the way.
