So, I’ve been keeping this 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 in the back of my garage for over 20 years — it’s not just a car, it’s a piece of my childhood. Got it from new in Ruthin, Denbighshire, and it’s been through five different hands since then, all of them serious about it.

It’s covered 80,250 miles and has a solid service record — 33 entries in two service books, all backed up with invoices. The first 18 were done by Porsche dealers, then moved to trusted specialists like Paragon, Octane Garage, and Precision Porsche. In 2022, Octane did a full engine rebuild at 77k miles — ARP head studs, new piston rings, valve guides, cylinder heads all overhauled. The suspension got Bilstein coilovers in 2023, professionally set up, so it sits lower than stock and handles better than ever.

The paint is Guards Red, which I’ve had professionally touched up on the front end — there was some lacquer peeling on the bonnet and wing, but it’s now looking sharp. The interior is still clean and the original black leather is in great shape, no major wear. The seats are still soft, and the dashboard feels like it hasn’t seen a lot of use. I’ve got a modern Blaupunkt radio in there — works fine, doesn’t mess with the classic vibe.

The original D90 wheels are refurbished and still fit with matching Michelin tyres all round. I’ve kept the original book pack, two keys, and a tool kit. MOT’s valid until May 2026 — no advisories, so it’s been well looked after.

I’m not selling it just to get cash — I’ve been driving it a few times over the years, and it’s always felt like a joy to drive. It’s not flashy, but it’s honest — a proper 964 with real mechanical care.
