2023 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI PHEV SE 5-door hatchback
Description
So I’ve been keeping this car for a while now — it’s a 2023 MG HS PHEV, the one with the 1.5 T-GDI engine and plug-in hybrid setup. It’s a five-door hatchback, automatic, and it’s got a nice mix of tech and practicality. The inside is pretty well equipped — 10.1 inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, and a 6-speaker audio system with DAB. I’ve actually used the Android Auto a lot for my daily commute, and it’s been a real help. There’s also a 360 camera, blind spot detection, lane keep assist, and traffic jam assist — useful stuff when you're driving in busy areas.
I’ve got the heated front seats, a leather-style interior, and the driver’s seat has lumbar support and a few adjustments. The passenger seat is manually adjustable, which is handy if you’ve got different people in the car. There’s also a second row with a 60/40 fold-down, and a 3-seat bench — good for kids or extra passengers.
The boot’s decent, and there’s a tailgate, USB ports (two front, two back), and even a 12V socket. The mirrors are electric and heated, and the rear seats have 3-point belts with pretensioners — safety features I’ve actually used quite a bit.
It’s got a full suite of driver aids: adaptive cruise, intelligent speed limit assist, emergency call, and even a rear cross-traffic alert. The headlights are LED with dynamic functions, and the wipers are rain-sensing. The alloy wheels are 18-inch diamond-cut — not flashy, but solid.
I bought it through a reputable dealer — Glyn Hopkin, which runs a lot of MG dealerships across the UK. They’ve got a solid reputation for quality and service, and I’ve had a good experience with their support. The car’s been well-maintained, and I’ve done regular servicing.
I’m based in Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway, so it’s not far from where I live. I’ve been using it for a few years now, and it’s been reliable — I’ve even used the parking sensors a few times when I’ve been in tight spots.
The price is £15,807.60 — not a lot of people are looking at this model, so it’s been sitting in my garage for a while. If you’re interested, I’m happy to chat or show it around. No pressure, just sharing something I’ve used and liked.
(Also, I’ve got a keyless entry and push-button start — no need to fumble with keys anymore.)
