Got this old parasol from meopham, Gravesham – it’s been in my garden for years, mostly just for shade on sunny afternoons. The banana grey is a bit faded now, but it still looks nice and the wind-up mechanism works fine. It’s adjustable, so I can stretch it out for a picnic or just keep it tucked up when not in use. The stand’s solid, and there are three weights included – I’ve used them all over the years. It’s not perfect, a bit worn around the edges, but it’s still usable and has a real character.
