2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 Auto – Damaged, Repairable, 18" Wheels, Sunroof, 7-seater

Hey there – just putting this one out there because I’ve been thinking about it lately. It’s a 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 19 reg, Landmark trim, 2.0-litre auto, with 18” alloy wheels, sat-nav, sunroof, climate control, black interior – full load, pretty much everything you’d expect.

It’s been damaged at the front end – round impact, not a big chunk, just a bit of work needed. It starts and drives, which is good to know for a quick check, but I’m being very clear: this isn’t a showroom car. It’s a salvage vehicle, and the engine and gearbox aren’t guaranteed to be in perfect shape. The "starts and drives" bit is just for loading and basic testing – it doesn’t mean it’ll run fine long-term or that it’s safe to drive on the road yet.

I’ve been keeping it in a garage in Alford, Aberdeenshire, and it’s been sitting quietly, not driven much. The insurance claim is on file, and it’s been through the system – some might show "HPi Clear" at check, but remember, all vehicles eventually get recorded on HPi. I’ve no idea how many times it’s been claimed, so if you’re serious about buying it, I’d really recommend you do your own HPi check.

The car’s not road legal yet – you’ll need full repairs to meet all current standards before it can be used on public roads. An MOT wouldn’t mean it’s safe to drive, especially if damage came up after the test. You’ll need a new MOT after it’s fixed.

I’m not selling it as a “ready-to-drive” vehicle. If you’re looking for something with potential, this might be a good fit – but only if you’re up to the job of inspecting it properly, ideally with a mechanic or bodyman. I’d strongly suggest you come see it before you commit.

No warranty at all – I’m not saying it’s perfect, just that it’s what it is. If you do go ahead, you’ll be responsible for all checks, repairs, and compliance.
