Kitchen island with drop leaf extension
Description
I’ve had this kitchen island for a few years now and honestly, it’s been a game-changer in my kitchen. It’s not just extra space – it’s actually useful, especially when you’ve got a full pantry or just want to keep things tidy. The main cupboard holds all my pots and pans, there are three drawers for smaller kitchen bits, and I’ve got a spice rack that’s actually kind of a joy to use – no more spilling spice everywhere. There’s also a built-in towel holder and side rails, which I’ve found super handy when I’m doing the dishes.
The drop leaf bit is brilliant – it goes from 46cm to 71cm deep, so I can use it as a breakfast bar or just a prep spot. When I’ve got guests, I’ll slide stools underneath and turn it into a little nook. I’ve even used it flush against the wall when I don’t need it out.
It’s got stainless steel worktops, so it’s not super fancy but it’s tough and easy to wipe down. I’ve used it every day for years and it’s held up well. Dimensions are 91cm high, 107cm wide, and 46cm deep (extends to 71cm).
I’m moving to Skipton, North Yorkshire, so I’m passing it on. It’s not flashy, but it’s actually been a solid part of my kitchen setup. I’ve kept it in good shape and it’s just about right for a mid-sized kitchen.
Price is £63 – I’ll keep it at that unless you’re interested in a quick chat. If you’re looking for a kitchen island that’s practical and not just decorative, this might be your kind of thing.
