I’m parting ways with my 2014 Audi Q3 – a solid, well-maintained SUV I’ve had for a few years now. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, comfortable, and has a great balance of practicality and driving feel.

The 1.4L petrol engine gives you a decent 150ps, and I’ve always been happy with how it handles – especially on the roads around Porthcawl. It’s not the fastest car, but it’s smooth, quiet, and the dynamic suspension really helps on winding country lanes or busy city streets.

I’ve kept it well looked after, and it’s got all the basics: alloy 17-inch wheels with a 10-spoke design, DAB radio, automatic wipers with rain sensor, and a 6.5-inch screen. Safety features are solid – ABS, ESP, airbags all around, and even a Thatcham Category 1 alarm. The climate control is dual-zone, and the seats are adjustable – driver’s seat height and steering wheel reach are both handy.

I’ve also got a few little things that make it more practical: electric windows, rear parking sensors, a trip computer, tyre pressure monitoring, and even a foldable storage bin in the front. The interior is clean, the cloth headlining looks good, and the glovebox has a vent.

It’s not quite a luxury car, but it’s a solid workhorse. I’ve kept it running well, and it’s still got a good fuel economy – around 48mpg, which is pretty decent for a small SUV.
