Mid century maple Meredew lacquered tall chest of drawers

This old-school Meredew chest of drawers is a solid mid-century piece, made from maple and finished with that classic lacquer. It’s been in my family for years and has seen some good use, so there’s a bit of wear and age-related marks, but nothing major. The finish still holds up well and it’s got a nice, warm character. Dimensions are 113.5cm tall, 65cm wide, and 48cm deep — plenty of space for a few boxes or a couple of blankets. I’ve been keeping it in my bedroom for years and it’s just been sitting there, waiting to find a new home. It’s now going to Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, where I’ve moved and it’s time to find a more practical storage spot. I’m not selling it for much — just £175.50 — but it’s a solid piece with real history behind it.
