Yuasa HSB096 Silver 12V Car Battery

I’ve got this Yuasa HSB096 Silver 12V battery — only ever used twice, on short trips. My car got crushed through the ULEZ scheme, so I kept the battery, figured it was worth saving. It’s still in great shape, no wear at all.

It’s a solid 80Ah unit with 740Amp CCA, so it handles cold starts really well — perfect if you’re using a phone, sat nav, or AC. The silver version has a higher starting capacity than standard batteries, which means it can start your engine even on chilly mornings.

It comes fully charged, ready to go in, no maintenance needed. The lid is also rollover-proof, which I found a bit of a relief when I was storing it. I’ve had it for years, and it’s been through loads of weather — still holds up.

It’s a bit heavy at 18.8kg, so it’s not something you’d casually swap out, but it’s reliable and has a 5-year warranty. I’m moving to east-sussex, England now, so it’s coming out of storage and going to a new home.

Price is £63 — just asking because I’m not sure if it’s worth it for someone else, but it’s been a solid backup for me. If you’re in the market for a reliable, long-lasting battery, this one’s been through its paces and still works well.
