Wildlife Surveying Opportunities in the Countryside
Description
I’m looking for a few people to join a casual wildlife surveying project in the Portadown, Northway area. It’s not a full-time job, just occasional weekend walks — usually on sunny afternoons when the weather’s good. You don’t need any experience at all — just a genuine interest in animals and the outdoors. We’ll be looking at things like animal tracks, signs of presence, and simple observations. I’ll give you a quick intro and guide you through the basics.
It’s more about getting hands-on with nature and seeing how wildlife lives in the wild, whether you’re into ecology, biology, or just love being outside. Students doing fieldwork or with an interest in animal behaviour might find it useful too.
The walks will mostly involve walking on varied countryside paths, so you’ll need decent mobility and be okay with using an e-bike if needed.
If you’re curious and up for a bit of nature time, feel free to message me with your number — I’ll share more details and see if it’s a fit. Price is £9, but that’s just a small fee for the chance to get involved.
