I’ve had this garden encyclopedia for years — it’s a first edition from 1971, with a 1972 revision. Over 3000 plants listed alphabetically, all suitable for growing in the UK. The pages are clean, the binding’s solid, and the photos of plants and flowers are actually quite nice — not just pictures, but real, detailed ones. It’s a big book, weighs over 2kg, and I’ve used it a lot over the years. I’m keeping it because it’s still useful, but I’ve decided to part with it now. It’s only £7.20 — not much, honestly — so if you’re into gardening history or just love old reference books, it might be worth a look.
