Description

So I bought this PreSonus Faderport 8 a while back — brand new in box, all the original packaging and cables still inside. I ended up getting another one at the same time, and the company wouldn’t take the first one back because I didn’t send it in on time. So I just kept it, used it only to test it out and take a few photos. It’s never been plugged in or used beyond that — zero wear, no scratches, everything’s pristine.

I noticed it’s now listed for £400+ online, so it’s actually a pretty solid deal for a brand new unit. The faders are 100mm touch-sensitive, motorized, and quiet — good for mixing or doing quick sessions. It has 8 high-def scribble strips, full session controls, and Studio One Artist, Studio Magic, and Ableton Live Lite included. The navigation is smooth — you can scroll tracks, bank channels, and jump around timelines easily.

It runs on both Mac and Windows, with native Studio One support and HUI/Mackie Control emulation. I’ve used it with a few DAWs, and it works well with tap tempo, click, and automation. It’s got a footswitch too — great for hands-free control. The only thing is, it’s a bit bulky, so if you’re just getting into audio gear, it might feel overkill — but if you’re into live mixing or recording, it’s a solid tool.

It’s sitting in my studio in Birchington, Thanet, and I’m just letting it go because I’ve got another setup now. It’s been sitting in the box for a while, so I figured it’s time to share it. No issues, no problems — just a clean, unused unit ready to go.
