Description

I’ve had this Pfaff 30 for a few years now and it’s been a real workhorse in my home workshop. It’s a semi-industrial straight stitch machine with reverse and drop-down dog for embroidery – useful if you’re into some custom work. I had it serviced a while back and it now has a brand new polyurethane drive belt, which makes it run smoother than ever.

It comes in its original wooden base, though the lid is missing – not a big deal, I just keep it stored neatly. There’s a manual, a Pfaff tin with extra bobbins and feet, and the power pedal’s actually from a Bernina, which is a bit unusual, but it’s big enough to give solid foot control. Max stitch density is 7 per inch, which is more than enough for everyday sewing – I’ve used it on leather, canvas, and jeans, and it handles them without a hitch.

It’s got a few small scratches near the foot and the stitch length lever – nothing major, just the kind of wear you’d expect from regular use. I’ve kept it well maintained and it still runs like a charm. If you're into practical sewing – like making belts or turning up jeans – this one’s perfect.

It’s currently in Wetherby, Leeds, and I’m only taking cash on collection. No hassle, no fuss – just pick it up and get going.
