This 2006 M-Class Estate is one of those cars that just feels special – my dad’s pride and joy for years, and I’ve been using it lately and honestly, it’s still a dream to drive. It’s got keyless entry, keyless start, automatic back door open/close, blow-up suspension, and off-road package – all factory bits, so it’s not just a nice upgrade, it’s a full package. Digital dash, CarPlay, a custom steering wheel, reversing camera, and a dash cam – all standard on the build. I just had brand new wheels and tyres fitted, plus front airbag and brake pipe work done.

It’s been loved and well looked after, with thousands of pounds spent on upgrades and maintenance over the years. Last week it failed to start – cranks fine, but won’t turn over – which is a bit of a shock after all that care. After a lot of heartbreak and discussions, I’ve decided it’s not practical for me to keep trying to find mechanics or fix it. So I’m letting it go as a non-runner.

It’ll need to be towed to be fixed by a new owner – no test drives, no delivery, just the reality of it being a non-runner. I’m not selling it because I don’t care about the car, I’m selling it because I can’t keep working on it. Still, it’s a proper Mercedes – a solid, well-equipped, beautiful car that anyone who loves classic SUVs would probably appreciate.
