Sinnis RETROSTAR 250 2017

Description

Got this little 2017 Sinnis Retrostar 250 and it’s been a real joy to ride — clean, smooth, and sounds great. I’ve done all the usual bits and bobs to keep it running well: new spark plug, cap, oil filter and cover, fresh Castrol Power 1 oil, front and rear brake pads swapped out (SBS sintered), and I even swapped the front brake disc from a Herald. The chain’s been upgraded to a DID VX2 heavy-duty one, and I swapped the front sprocket from 15T to 16T. The exhaust has been tweaked — the PAIR valve’s been blanked off and I’ve fitted a stainless steel exhaust to the cylinder head. Also added the Bridgestone Battlax BT45 tyres on both ends, and the centre stand came from a Herald.

I’ve even added the Ducati-style ‘250’ decals to the side panels, and the battery strap was replaced. All the little bits I’ve done over the years are still in place — it’s been in as-new condition the whole time. Fresh MOT until July 2026 from Chippenham Motorcycles. It rides really well and the sound is fantastic.

Honestly, I’ve been loving it for years — but I’ve had to make a tough decision due to illness. It’s been my go-to for long rides and weekend trips, and I don’t think I’ll be riding it again.
