Description

So I’ve got this 2017 Peugeot 2008 Active BlueHDi SUV — it’s not flashy, but it’s got a real solid feel to it. I bought it a few years ago and it’s been reliable, easy to drive, and I’ve only had it serviced once since. The 1.6L diesel engine runs smoothly and gets up to 81 mpg — that’s honestly a big deal for a family car, especially when you’re not looking to spend much on fuel.

It’s got a manual gearbox, which I like — not too much to fiddle with, just what you need. The interior’s clean and practical: leather-wrapped steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and a full suite of safety features. I’ve got ABS, ESP, airbags front and rear, curtain airbags, and even a child safety lock system. The cabin is quiet, and the seats are comfortable — especially with the one-touch fold rear bench.

The wheels are 16-inch steel with strontium trim, and it has a black chrome grille with that little embossed pendant detail — I don’t know why it looks so cool, but I keep it in the garage and it’s always a nice touch. There’s also a DAB radio, cruise control, fog lights, and even a 12V socket.

I’ve got the MOT valid until February 2026, and it’s Thatcham Cat 2 approved — so insurance should be pretty straightforward. Low CO2 means it doesn’t contribute much to pollution, and it’s in a low insurance group, which I’ve found saves a bit on premiums.

It’s based in south-lanarkshire, Scotland, so if you’re in the area or planning to move around the UK, it’s easy to get to. I’ve actually had a few people ask if I’d consider taking it to a different part of the country — I’m happy to help with delivery, and I’ve got a solid warranty in place.

I’m not selling it for a lot — £5,382 — it’s more of a ‘I’ve got it and I’m parting ways’ kind of deal. I’ve been driving it for years, and it’s still running great. If you're thinking of getting a family car that’s practical, fuel-efficient, and not too expensive to insure, this one’s been a real workhorse for me.

If you’re interested, just drop me a line — I’m happy to chat about it. No pressure, just real talk.
