I’ve had this Winsor 5-string banjo since I was a kid—original model number one from the 1930s, still in its original case. It’s been stored for years, so the wood’s stable and the finish is clean. The strings are worn out, and the tuning pegs need a bit of work, but it plays fine once it’s restrung and set up. I’m keeping it in Windsor, Castle Hill, and it’s just sitting in my garage.
