Description

I’ve had this 2022 Renault Captur for a few months now and I’m actually really happy with it. It’s been one owner since new, so it’s kept pretty clean and has low mileage for the year — which makes it feel like a fresh, reliable car.

The TCe Techno trim has a good mix of practical bits and modern touches. Automatic headlights, DAB radio, USB ports, and a 7-inch touchscreen make it easy to stay connected without fuss. I especially like the rear-view camera — parking has never been easier. There’s also a wireless phone charger and keyless entry with a hands-free keycard, which is handy if you're in a hurry or just want to keep your hands free.

It’s got a 1.0L petrol engine, Euro 6 compliance, and I’ve noticed it’s quite fuel-efficient — around 48 mpg, which is better than most similar SUVs. That means lower fuel costs, and the CO2 is low too, so it’s not a huge strain on the environment.

The interior is clean and well put together — black soft-touch dashboard, chrome accents, and some nice LED lighting, including front and rear lights with a 3D effect. There’s a good amount of storage, and the seats are comfortable. Rear seats fold down easily, and the boot floor is modular, which helps with cargo.

Safety features are solid: ABS with EBA, active emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and hill start assist. Cruise control, parking sensors, and automatic dimming mirrors are all there too. The seats have height adjustments, and there’s a pollen filter in the heating system — useful if you’re sensitive to allergens.

I’ve also got the ISOFIX points for kids, and it’s got a good level of tech — Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus traffic sign recognition. The alloy wheels are 18-inch, with a grey insert, and there’s a shark fin antenna. The front and rear have LED fog lamps, and there’s even a tyre inflation kit and warning light.

I bought it through Charltons of Castle Cary, Somerset — they’re a family-run garage that’s been around for a while and really know their stuff, especially with Renaults. They’ve got a full service and repair setup, and they’ll sort out any recalls or warranty work. I’ve already had a few checks done, and everything’s been solid.

If you’re looking for something practical, low-maintenance, and fairly modern without the big price tag, this one might be worth a look. I’ll be honest — I’m not selling it just to get rid of it. I’ve driven it a lot, and it just feels reliable and comfortable.

If you’re interested, I can share more or give a quick drive — just let me know.
