Parfums de Marly Layton Exclusif 125ml

I’ve got this 125ml bottle of Layton Exclusif from Parfums de Marly — one of those fragrances that just feels like a grown-up, well-lived-in thing. It’s unisex and works all year round, though I’d say it’s a bit shy in extreme heat. The opening is bright — almond, mandarin, bergamot — then it settles into something richer with civet, rose, geranium, and water lily, and the base is deep with Laotian oud, vanilla, coffee, sandalwood, pink pepper, and patchouli. It’s got a long wear and a solid presence, which is nice — I’ve worn it three times and actually got two people saying “that’s a nice smell” without being asked. The bottle’s been stored in the original box, kept out of direct light and heat, so it’s in great shape. Just a tiny scuff on the left side of the cap (you can see it in the photo).
