So, I’ve been keeping this old Sprinter for a few years now — it’s a 2017 long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter 314CDI dropside, diesel, manual — and honestly, it’s been one of the most reliable workhorses I’ve ever had.

It’s Euro 6 compliant, so no issues with ULEZ, and it’s got a working tail lift that’s been fully tested. The rear brakes were just fitted new, which I’m glad about — that’s a real plus for long-term use. There’s also a tow bar, and I’ve kept the interior clean with cloth seats and all the basics: Bluetooth, multi-function steering, 6-speed gearbox, central locking, electric windows, DAB radio, and even a spare key.

I’ve driven it a fair bit — 12,000 miles on the clock, and it’s been mostly used for work. The engine’s solid, runs smooth, and it gets about 34 mpg. I’ve also got a full set of safety features: ABS, traction control, electronic stability control, and all the usual bits.
